Most of what we've built so far in Sinan AI is about the moment a customer talks to your shop: a question in chat, a lead that needs following up, an escalation you have to approve. But a lot of the actual work in running a shop happens after the sale is made — when an order needs to be prepared, packed, and either handed over at the counter or sent out the door. Until recently, that part of the day had almost no place in the app.
Where orders used to live
If you wanted to look something up about an order, you mostly had to find the conversation it came from — usually because a customer had asked about it and the chat got flagged for you. But most orders never generate a flagged conversation at all. A customer just checks out on your storefront directly, and there was no way to find that order in the app afterward unless you already had another reason to be digging around.
We heard this plainly from a shop owner: there was no way to look up an order except through a chat. That's a real gap for anyone running a shop day to day, where you often want to just see what's come in, not search for it.
What's there now
The Orders tab is a new, dedicated place in the mobile app, separate from Leads, which stays a pure conversation list. Open it and you get:
- A list of recent orders, each showing when it was placed and what was in it, without having to tap in.
- A lookup card at the top of the screen, so you can search for any order by number whether or not it's connected to a conversation.
- The same confirm, decline, mark-fulfilled, cancel and refund actions you'd find on a lead's order panel, in one place.
Tapping any order opens the same full panel every other order surface in the app uses — items, customer, totals, and the actions available to you. There's exactly one place in the app that knows how this panel works, so it behaves the same wherever you find it.
Stages, not just status
The other piece is one a lot of small shops handle by hand today: telling a customer where their order actually is. A store's order status usually only has a few real states — confirmed, cancelled, fulfilled, refunded. There's no room in those for “we're baking it now” or “it's waiting at the counter”.
So the Orders tab adds your own preparation stages on top: Confirmed, Preparing, Ready and Completed. You move an order along with one tap on Mark as …. With the Notify customer switch on, Sinan AI asks your store to send the email it already has for that step, from your own address and in your own templates.
What you see after each step
Sinan AI only tells you what your store actually did. “Your store emailed the customer” appears only when your store confirms it sent that email. If your store can't take progress updates from Sinan AI yet, the step is still recorded for you in the app, and you're told plainly that the customer wasn't notified, so you know to tell them yourself.
What it doesn't do
Sinan AI never sends its own order emails to your customers. Every order notification comes from your shop. And nothing moves an order to the next stage on its own: every stage is a tap you make.
