When you open the owner app, the first thing it shows you is what needs you. We built the app around that idea. With the update we shipped on 8 October 2026, that part of the app now works the way it reads, and so do a few other parts you use every day.
To be clear about scope: this post is about the owner app, the one you use to run your shop with Sinan. What your customers see in the chat on your website, on WhatsApp or on your chat page is not part of this change.
Needs you: your real decisions, answered in one place
Sinan answers your customers and helps you run the shop, but it never acts alone on anything that can't be undone. Refunds, cancellations and the like wait for your tap. The cards under Needs you are where those decisions wait for you.
Those cards are now your real pending decisions, the ones actually waiting on you. When you answer one there, it takes effect right away. You don't have to find the same request somewhere else in the app for your answer to count, and you don't have to wonder whether your tap did anything.
This matters most when a customer is waiting on the other end. If someone has asked for a refund or a cancellation, the time between your answer and that answer taking effect is time they spend waiting. Now there is no gap: you decide on the card and the decision stands.
What hasn't changed is who decides. An answered card is your decision, not Sinan's. Sinan still prepares the request and waits. You still give the yes or the no.
Customers Sinan handed over now land in your Inbox
Some conversations are ones Sinan should hand to you rather than finish on its own. Those customers now show up in your Inbox. Once you've dealt with one, you can close it there.
Closing matters more than it sounds. If you can close a conversation once it's handled, your Inbox only holds the people who are still waiting on you. You don't have to remember which ones you already answered last night. If it's still open, it's still yours to deal with.
New orders and new customers, without a reload
New orders and new customers now appear on screen as they come in. You don't need to reload the app to see them.
If you keep the app open on your computer while you pack orders, or glance at your phone between other jobs, what you see is up to date. A screen that only updates when you think to reload it is easy to misread, especially on a busy day.
Buttons that do what they say
Attach, Invite, Connect, voice and replies now all do what their names say. We list them because before this update that wasn't true of every one of them, and we'd rather tell you that plainly.
An app you use to run your business has to be one you can trust when you tap. A button that looks like it works but doesn't is worse than having no button, because you only find out later that nothing happened. With this update, if you tap it, it does what it says.
What this update changes, in short
- Needs you shows your real pending decisions, and answering one there takes effect right away.
- Customers Sinan handed over to you show up in your Inbox, and you can close them once they're handled.
- New orders and new customers appear on screen without a reload.
- Attach, Invite, Connect, voice and replies do what they say.
What it doesn't change
- Sinan still never acts alone on anything that can't be undone. Refunds, cancellations and the like still wait for your tap.
- The chat your customers use on your website, on WhatsApp and on your chat page is not part of this update.
Why we're writing about it
A redesign is the part people see first. Updates like this one matter more day to day: they decide whether you can rely on the app at 9 in the evening, when a customer is waiting and you have one minute to answer. We want an owner to be able to open the app, see what needs them, decide, and close it again, and to trust that each tap did what it said.
If you run a small online shop and want to see how decisions and handovers reach you in the owner app, ask us for a demo at sinan-hq.com.
