Instagram was the first place we let Sinan draft posts for you to approve. Starting today, X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) works the same way. If your shop has a presence there, you can connect it from Integrations and Sinan will start drafting posts for that account too.
We didn't build this because X is a trend we're chasing. We built it because some of you sell to customers who live on X: asking a question in a reply, finding a shop through a thread, following a small brand because someone they trust posted about it. If your customers are there, your shop should be able to show up there too, without you having to write and schedule every post yourself.
How it works
Connecting X works the way connecting Instagram already does:
- You go to Integrations and add your X account using your own developer credentials. We don't give you a shared Sinan account; it's yours, under your name, with your history.
- Once it's connected, Sinan can draft posts for X the same way it already drafts them for Instagram, using your shop's own photos and your own voice, not a generic template.
- Every draft lands on your Home screen. Nothing goes out until you tap to approve it.
What doesn't change
This is the part we want to be completely clear about: nothing publishes on its own. A drafted post for X sits and waits for you exactly the way a drafted Instagram post does. You can read it, edit it, or ignore it. If you never tap approve, it never goes live. We built the approval screen before we built the drafting, and that order matters to us: Sinan should never get ahead of your judgment about what your shop sounds like in public.
We know that's slower than an AI that posts for you automatically. We think that's the right trade for a small shop. A bakery's voice on X is not a generic brand voice; it's specific, a little opinionated, maybe sarcastic about Mondays. You know that voice. Sinan can draft in it, but you're still the one who decides what actually represents your shop.
Why your own credentials
Using your own developer credentials, rather than a shared connection we manage centrally, means the account is yours in every sense that matters: you control access to it, you can see exactly what's connected and revoke it whenever you want, and nothing about your shop's X presence depends on infrastructure that isn't visible to you. It's a bit more setup up front, a few minutes in Integrations instead of one click, but it means there's no black box between you and the account your customers follow.
We're starting with posts, the same place we started with Instagram. We haven't built reading or replying to messages on X yet, so for now this is about what your shop puts out, not what comes in. If your customers are messaging you there and you want Sinan to help with that too, tell us; that's exactly the kind of thing that tells us what to build next.
If you don't use X for your shop, nothing changes for you. This is additive: one more place Sinan can help you show up, approved by you every time, right alongside the channels you're already using.
