Until now, every time you opened the Sinan tab, or tapped Ask Sinan, you got a blank conversation. It didn't matter that you'd spent ten minutes yesterday explaining a return policy exception, or that you'd just asked Sinan to draft a reply to a customer an hour ago. Close the app, come back, and you were starting from nothing.
That's changed. Open Sinan now and your last conversation is still there: your earlier messages, Sinan's replies, all of it. You can keep going as if you never left.
Why this was worth fixing
Running a shop doesn't happen in one sitting. You check in on Sinan between customers, between orders, between whatever else is pulling at your day. A conversation about a tricky refund case might start in the morning and not get finished until the afternoon. Before, picking it back up meant re-typing context you'd already given: what the order was, what the customer said, what you'd already decided. That's time spent repeating yourself instead of running your shop.
It also meant Sinan sometimes gave you an answer that ignored something you'd told it minutes earlier, simply because that earlier message was gone the moment you closed the tab. Now the thread holds together. If you told Sinan this morning that a particular customer is a repeat buyer who should get some latitude, that's still in view if you come back to the same conversation later.
What actually changed
- Opening the Sinan tab resumes your last thread instead of starting a new one.
- Ask Sinan does the same, picking up where that conversation left off.
- Your earlier messages stay visible, so you can scroll back and see exactly what was said.
This is a small change in the sense that nothing new was added to what Sinan can do. It's a real one in the sense that it removes a piece of friction that showed up every single time you used it. You shouldn't have to remember what you already told your own software.
What this doesn't change
This isn't a new feature so much as the product behaving the way you'd expect it to. It doesn't give Sinan a longer memory of your shop's history beyond the conversation itself, and it doesn't change anything about how Sinan handles decisions that can't be undone. Refunds, cancellations and anything similar still wait for your tap, exactly as before. Picking up a conversation doesn't mean picking up authority Sinan didn't have before.
If you want a clean slate, you can still start a new conversation. The point isn't to force every interaction into one long thread, it's that closing the app shouldn't be the thing that erases it.
Why we built it this way
We hear from shop owners that Sinan is something they dip into throughout the day, not something they sit down with for a dedicated session. That pattern only works if the tool remembers what you were doing the last time you looked at it. A chat app that forgets everything the moment you switch away is annoying in any context; in a tool you're relying on to run part of your shop, it's worse than annoying, it's a reason to stop trusting it with anything that matters.
This is also, in a quieter way, about trust. If Sinan can't hold onto a conversation from five minutes ago, it's reasonable to wonder what else it's not holding onto. Fixing this doesn't prove anything on its own, but it removes one obvious reason to doubt it.
We still have conversations that should carry more context than they do today, and we'll keep narrowing that gap. For now: open Sinan, and your last conversation will be exactly where you left it.
