Up until now, if you wanted a customer's information removed, or you wanted a full copy of everything Sinan AI had stored about your shop, you had to email us and wait. That's not how it should work. Starting today, you can do all of this yourself, right from the app.
On the phone app, it's under Your data. On the computer, it's in Settings. Three things live there now:
- Erase a customer - type in their email address, and we remove their data from your account.
- Export everything - download a complete copy of your business's data in one file.
- Delete your account - close your account and business for good, whenever you decide to.
Why this matters even if you never use it
Most shop owners will probably never click any of these three buttons. That's fine. The point isn't that you'll use them every week, it's that they exist, and that they're yours to use without asking permission.
A customer might ask you, at some point, to delete what you know about them. Before, that meant finding us, explaining the situation, and waiting for someone on our side to go do it. Now it's a search box with an email address in it. You handle it the moment it comes up, in front of the customer if you need to, instead of telling them you'll get back to them.
The export matters for a different reason. Your conversations with customers, your order history, everything Sinan AI has learned about how your shop runs, that's your business's data, not ours. You shouldn't need our permission to see all of it in one place, and you shouldn't need to ask us for it if you ever want to move it somewhere else, back it up, or just look through it yourself.
And if you ever want to leave
The account deletion is the one we hope you never use, but it has to be real. A lot of software makes closing an account harder than opening one, you have to call someone, or send an email, or hunt through menus for a cancel link that isn't there. We didn't want that to be true of us. If you decide Sinan AI isn't right for your shop anymore, you can close everything out yourself, immediately, from the same screen.
We built it this way because we think the test of whether a tool respects your data isn't what it says in a privacy policy, it's whether you can actually act on it without friction. A policy that says you can request deletion but routes every request through a support queue isn't really giving you control. A button that does it when you tap it is.
What this doesn't change
This is about your data and your account, not about what Sinan AI can do on its own. Erasing a customer's record or deleting your account are still things only you can trigger, Sinan AI won't do either of those on its own initiative, the same way it won't issue a refund or cancel an order without your tap. Some actions are too final to leave to an agent, even when that agent is answering your customers well. Giving you direct control over your own data follows the same rule: the undoable things stay in your hands.
If you've been waiting on an export or a customer deletion and didn't want to bother support with it, it's there now. Look for Your data on the app or Settings on the computer.
