On 7 October we shipped a new design for the owner app, the app you use to run your shop alongside Sinan. We built it around two things. First, what needs you should be the first thing you see. Second, every figure in it should come from your own business: your plan, your conversations, your orders. It never shows sample figures.
Here is what changed, tab by tab, and what it means when you open the app between two customers or late in the evening.
Home: what needs you first
Home now opens with what needs you. If you run a shop alone or with a small team, you don't have time to scroll through a dashboard to find out whether something is waiting for you.
Sinan answers your customers in the chat on your website, on WhatsApp and on your chat page, and it keeps working while you're busy. But some decisions are never Sinan's to make. Refunds, cancellations and anything else that can't be undone wait for your tap. Home is designed so those don't sit unnoticed behind everything else.
Inbox: Requests, Reports and Notes
The Inbox is now split into three sections: Requests, Reports and Notes. We split it so that a decision you need to make doesn't get buried under updates you can read later. When you have two minutes, open Requests. When you have twenty, read the rest.
Sinan: one place to talk to it
The Sinan tab is where you talk to Sinan directly. You can ask about your shop or say what you want done. That conversation now has its own place in the app instead of sharing a screen with everything else. The line doesn't move here either: anything that can't be undone still comes back to you before it happens.
Business: your orders and your team
The Business tab holds your orders and your team. These are the parts of the shop you check most often when you're not answering anyone yourself, so we put them together in one tab.
More: your plan and your rules
More is where your plan and your rules live. Your rules are the limits you set on what Sinan may do on its own, and they belong in a place you can find without searching. We didn't put this tab first because you won't change your rules every day. But when you want to check or change them, they're one tap away.
Your own business, never sample figures
This is the change we care about most. Everything the app shows is your own business: the plan you're on, your conversations meter, your orders. None of it is an example number or a placeholder to fill the screen until real data arrives.
This matters because you make decisions from what you see. If the meter shows how many conversations you've used, it has to be your count. If the app lists orders, they have to be your orders. An app that mixes sample numbers with real ones makes you second-guess every figure. We would rather show you less and have all of it be true.
The same app on your computer
The owner app also opens on a computer now. Many owners do the quick decisions on their phone and the slower work, like reading reports or going through orders, at a desk. You see the same tabs and the same data on both, so you don't have to learn a second tool.
In French and German
The app's words are now available in French and German. Many of the shops we work with run their business in one of those languages, and the app you use every day should speak it.
What stays the same
The new design changes how the app is laid out. It doesn't change what Sinan is allowed to do. Sinan still answers your customers and helps you run the shop. It still never acts alone on anything that can't be undone. Refunds, cancellations and the like still wait for you. The redesign is meant to make those moments easier to find, quicker to decide and easier to trust, because what you see is your own business.
If something in the new app looks wrong to you, or you can't find what you're looking for, tell us. We read every message ourselves.
